| Eric Clapton, Ripley, (Surrey), England... Dickey Betts, guitar great and former lead guitarist and founding front man of The Allman Brothers Band, as well as the legendary and larger than life Little Richard, both from Macon Georgia... The Marshall Tucker Band, Spartanburg, South Carolina... Steve Vai, Carle Place, New York... Joe Satriani, Westberry, New York... Tina Turner, Nutbush, Tennessee... Willie Nelson, Abbott, Texas... Loretta Lynn, Butcher Holler, Kentucky... Dolly Parton, Sevierville, Tennessee and the Heartland's own John Mellencamp, Seymour, Indiana... What do all of the above names and places have in common? All of the names of course, are of prolific, world class songwriters and performers that have achieved huge measures of success in the music industry. The places are of the small towns from which they have all originated. …The moral of this equation? ...NEVER underestimate an artist/band's potential measure of music industry success by the size of the town they originate from. In our quest for presenting and promoting to both fans and to the 'powers that be' in the music industry, (both nationally and worldwide), THE BEST in outstanding musical performers ranging from the fast rising to legendary artists and bands, we at Mindsweep Entertainment & Promotions recently had the pleasure of discovering an unforgettable and notable talent with a very large scale potential for major music industry success originating from, of all places, the tiny farming town of Mooresville, Indiana. As tiny as Mooresville, Indiana is, historically, the good people of the American Midwest have always been known for their strong work ethic and determination, honest values, being down to Earth, and as genuine as they come. The Heartland and the great people thereof ARE the defining picture of true Americana at it's best. When it comes to Americana as a musical genre, Fonda and The County Road Band too, are a defining picture of true Americana, (as a musical genre), at it's best. Perhaps that is BECAUSE in both their music as well as their natural and professional personas, this band captures and reflects all of those defining attributes mentioned above and more, with refreshing honesty in both their ability to create original music that is surprisingly different, exhibit an extreme amount of versatility, with very strong marketability and broad audience appeal, and in their ability to perform their music with true genuine talent. ...No added songwriters or studio 'fill in' musicians, lip sinking in their live performances, nor pitch correction needed; just honest, genuine and viable talent. And THAT'S the stuff REAL and DESERVING music industry legends are made of. At the helm of The County Road Band and in particular focus, on both lead vocals and as primary songwriter for the band, is a petite, (yet larger than life in personality and with an immense amount of talent and with a captivating and magnetic stage presence), sleek and country chic, brunette American beauty that is affectionately known to the band's fans as (simply), Fonda. To spite Fonda's feminine grace, petite stature and to spite the fact that she has also been titled by fans both regionally and beyond as the "Sweetheart of the Heartland", make no mistake, Ms. Fonda is one lean, mean songwriting machine! When it comes to songwriting, Fonda, being well grounded in all the positive attributes of her Midwestern roots, combined with the fact that she is innately gifted and skilled as a songwriter, can whip up both lyrical content and the musical composition of a song from beginning to end that shows serious radio and/or commercial quality and hit potential, in whatever myriad of genres that suit her inclination at the time, quicker than a zillion and one other headlining and/or award winning music industry divas of today can call up their managers to have them 'find' them their next hit, while having their roots, (typically blonde), 'touched up'. From both a professional and business perspective as a music industry exec, and from a personal perspective as a connoisseur of music, what I most like, appreciate and respect about Fonda and The County Road Band when assessing their potential for major music industry success and marketability of their musical product are three elements that give them a definite edge and advantage for achieving major music industry success. Those elements are: First and foremost is as both a vocalist and an artist, Fonda is THE REAL THING. The quality you hear in Fonda's impressive and considerable vocal skill and prowess both live and in the studio, are indeed her genuine mastery of her vocal performances. That, no doubt, is a definite testament of both her skill as an artist; her TRUE viability as a live performer, as well as a testament to her determination to reach her goals with honest integrity. (Unlike far too many 'artists' of today, both male and female, who, without the help of either lip sinking or pitch correction, could not in reality, carry a tune in a Freightliner.) When it comes to belonging on a stage as a truly professional lead vocalist, quite simply, either you (genuinely) have it, or you don't. Fonda definitely has ‘it’, and in true star quality abundance. One shining example of Fonda's exceptional finesse as a vocalist is when recording the emotionally packed and beautifully written and performed song titled, "His Love Song", off of the band's brand new CD, which was recorded in only one take in the studio. Second advantage, as can be heard in the brilliant contrast of every track of Fonda and The County Road Band's brand new debut CD titled "Kiss Me", is the rich amount of versatility and mastery of multiple genres Fonda and The County Road Band can both create and perform ranging from contemporary rock, Americana, pop, fast and furious honky tonk boogie, and a bit of cool upbeat acoustic and a little alternative, (just because they can); also every sub genre of country imaginable, ranging from heartfelt and powerfully moving classic style love ballads to the more contemporary rock edged, one or two with a surprisingly funky edge. Then again, when it comes to 'country', Fonda and The County Road Band are true experts in the field of 'country', as it just doesn't get too much more 'country' than Mooresville, Indiana! (I told you they were 'the real thing'.) That diversity and versatility in the band's outstanding sound guarantees a much broader spectrum of audience and marketing appeal, which potentially equates to both greater CD sales and a vastly larger fan base with greater chance of packing concert venues with proper promotions; which of course equates to a recipe for great potential for gaining the highest reaches of success in the music industry. (And as you can see, both AJH Promotions and Mindsweep Entertainment & Promotions are already on board and working on 'the promotions thing'.) The immense amount of versatility that this band displays is such that it is hard to pin them down into any one genre. And when it comes to marketability, THAT'S the stuff multi-platinum music sales, potential awards for "Best New Artist of the Year", as well as awards for "Best Album of the Year" and perhaps "Best Vocal Performance" are made of; and especially so when an artist/band has the potential to pull it off in any number of genres. Speaking of promotions, nationally, tracks from Fonda and The County Road Band's CD, "Kiss Me" are already receiving regular rotation on radio stations as far away as Boston; and internationally as far away as Australia and New Zealand; which is pretty impressive to say the least, especially considering those are both quite a 'fur piece' from Mooresville, Indiana. I can easily foresee at least 8 out of the 12 of the tracks off of this CD having more than enough potential of becoming major radio/commercial quality hits and swiftly climbing the Billboard Charts after receiving heavy regular radio rotation on mainstream, college, internet and satellite radio stations, nationally and worldwide, in every one of the formats/genres listed above. In fact, one instance of radio promotions, Track 6, titled "Take Care of My Heart" off the band's CD "Kiss Me", was featured on (Lafayette, Indiana), WKOA Radio Station's program "Smash Hit or Trash It", (where listener's call in and vote either way on songs from rising artists), and the song received THE MOST votes in the history of the one hour program, with 84 callers voting the song to be a "Smash Hit"; and only one vote to "Trash It". That indeed was a pretty impressive radio listener response. (And my guess is, that one "Trash it" voter was probably just jealous. ...With good reason of course, as Fonda and The County Road Band have all the potential needed towards becoming major contenders in today's music scene, in numerous genres and/or radio formats.) If any radio stations would like a copy of Fonda and The County Road Band's sizzling new CD, feel free to get in touch with their Management via David White of AJH Promotions, by e-mail at CoachDL312@Gmail.com; or by phone at 765-376-8801, and they will be glad to get a copy to you. Suggested tracks from this CD are: "Fighting Fate", "Hanging on to Me", "All the Pain of Love" followed by "Kiss Me", Fifteen Minutes of Fame", "Rubbernecker", "Get Out of My Head", and "Nothin' Looks Good on You", followed by, "Take Care of My Heart"; followed by "His Love Song" and "Take Me Home". Third defining element that makes the difference in the band's potential to rise to ultimate success in the music industry is the fact that they ARE distinctly different. They are the defining band that does not look nor sound like every other artist/band out there today. Fonda most definitely has a very signature sound and quality as a vocalist that is unmistakable and uniquely her's. Giving credit where credit is also due, I might add that all the members of The County Road Band do quite a fine job at backing her as well, both live and in the studio. The County Road Band is: Bob May - Drums, percussion and backing vocals. Scott Lindley - Bass and backing vocals. Scott "Ziggy" Hodnett - Lead guitar, mandolin, keyboards, harmonica and backing vocals. Don't just take my word for Fonda and the County Road Band's the high quality of this band's songwriting, musicianship and potential for major music industry success; fans and music industry executives alike can check the band's music at: www.myspace. com/fondaandthecountyroadband. And since I already know that with just one listen you are bound to like this band and their music, their brand new CD "Kiss Me" is available for purchase right now at CD baby, iTunes, Amazon, DigStation, Rhapsody and via other online purchasing outlets. Fonda and the County Road Band's influences include such greats as: Etta James, Phil Vassar, Tracy Lawrence, Bonnie Raitt, Eric Clapton, Melissa Etheridge, Bob Seger, Cher, John Melencamp, Pink, Brad Paisley, Tracy Chapman, Aerosmith, Sheryl Crowe, The Eagles, Bette Midler, Steve Miller Band, Faith Hill, Dan Fogelberg, Martina McBride, John Fogerty, Dolly Parton, Ronnie Milsap, Cass Elliot, Tom Petty, Karen Carpenter and Elvis. ...Which certainly explains and accounts for that vast amount of versatility thing. Having appreciatively already opened for two of the greats on their long list of influences, Tracy Lawrence and Phil Vassar, Fonda and The County Road Band would very much appreciate the opportunity to open for even more of them on their tour to promote their brand new CD. (With more national and worldwide press releases to come for the band's as well as their CD's promotions and with this band's popularity increasing at a very fast rate, this would be a significant win/win opportunity for major headliners and other music industry influences to grab this outstanding act as a touring opener.) Besides upcoming tour dates already booked at a number of fairs, festivals and select venues all across the Midwest region, Fonda and The County Road Band will be expanding their tour, and are currently seeking and accepting bookings for performance dates all across the US; and would relish the opportunity to expand the tour even further and perform in such destinations as Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, The Caribbean Islands, England, Wales, Ireland, Scotland, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Italy, Greese, The Czech Republic, pretty much all of Europe. Japan, Thailand and Russia are also high on their list of Asian destinations; and would also love to tour Australia and New Zealand amongst other worldwide touring destinations as well. In closing, and again, from both the perspective of a music industry exec and a connoisseur of great music, Fonda and The County Road Band are indeed the fast rising band to watch in the genre of Americana and well beyond; as all the elements are there for them to emerge towards major music industry success in the very near future, including talent, vast marketability of their musical product with a diverse marketing and audience appeal, a large and ever increasing national and worldwide fan base, professionalism with honest integrity, (which is also a huge plus for potential corporate sponsors), and complete with two professional teams working on massive promotions, PR, press, media, booking and advertising campaigns, which makes this great band an asset to any record label, concert and/or festival promoter, headlining artists that may choose them as a touring opener, and beyond.
